Cover Line Wire Aluminum Conductor
Application
Coveredline wire isprimarily used for overhead secondary distributionlines. It is not an electrically insulated conductor, so it can be treated asbare conductor when installed.
Construction
This is aluminum alloy 1350 H19, 6201-T81, or ACSRconductor. The concentrically stranded aluminum conductor is covered with polyethylene,HDPE or XLPE insulation for weather resistance.
Specification
Covered line wire aluminium conductor meets or exceeds the following ASTMSpecifications
(1) ASTM B 230 standard specification for aluminum 1350-H19 wire for electricalpurpose
(2) ASTM B 231 standard specification for concentriclaying stranded aluminium conductor
(3) ASTM B 232 standard specification for aluminumconductor steel reinforced (ACSR)
(4) ASTM B 399 standard specification for concentric laying stranded aluminumalloy conductor 6201-T81
Covered line wire meets or exceeds all applicable requirement of ICEA S-70-547

Ampacity rating base on 75℃conductor temperature, 25℃ambient temperature, emissivityof 0.91 and coefficient of absorption of 0.95.
