Low-E Glass

Low-Emissivity Glass,High Performance Energy Efficient Glass

Improve the EnergyEfficiency of your Windows

Orient low-E glass is an advancedthermal insulation glass manufactured by coating clear or body tinted floatglass with metallic oxides through a process of magnetically enhanced cathodicsputtering under vacuum conditions. It is highly reflective to long–wave heatradiation, so it is a very good thermal insulator. When coated on body tintedglass, Orient low-E glass gives solar control as well as thermal insulationproperties. It has a neutral appearance due to very low reflection. Low-E glasshas excellent light transmittance resulting in maximizing the entry of daylightinto the building.

Low-E Glass

Description

Thermally insulating glass (also known as low-emissivity or low-E glass)usually forms the inner pane of an Insulating Glass Unit (IGU). The glass has atransparent metallic coating that reflects heat from radiators or fires backinto the room, rather than allowing it to escape through the windows. At thesame time, it allows free heat and light from the sun (known as passive solarheat gain) to pass through the glass, warming your home and furthercontributing to the energy efficiency of your windows.

Window Energy Ratings

Government Building Regulations require us to use energy efficientglass products that help reduce CO2 emissions and protect the environment. These regulations have recently been updated to include a Window Energy Ratingscheme which assesses the overall energy efficiency of a window and offers afurther means of compliance. Using high performance thermally insulating glasssuch as low-E glass, glazed in a suitable framing system is the most effectiveway of improving window energy ratings.

Features

Using thermally insulating doubleglazing is the best way to improve the energy efficiency of your windows andmake your home environment more comfortable.

1.Improved thermal insulation - reduced heat losssaves you money on your heating bills.

2.Promotes passive solar heat gain - free heat fromthe sun passes easily through the low-E glass helping to warm the home.

3.Improved energy efficiency - reduced need forheating helps to save energy and protect the environment.

4.More comfortable rooms - improved thermal insulationmeans fewer cold spots and drafts near windows and doors.

5.Less condensation - the inner surface of the low-Eglass stays warmer, reducing internal condensation and prolonging the life ofyour windows.

Thermally insulating glass can becombined with many other products for multi-functional glazing, such aslow-maintenance, solar control, noise reduction, decorative glass and enhancedsafety and security.

As a professionallow-E glass manufacturer based in China, Orient Glass also providesreflective glass, tinted float glass, clear float glass, tinted pattern glass, decorative glass, aluminum mirror, glass floor, and much more.
