Fixed Series Compensation

This fixed series compensator is primarily used to enhance the transmission capacity of HV transmission lines (220kV, 500kV, and 750kV etc.) to improve the power angle stability. An FSC is a series capacitance inserted into the transmission line.

The series compensator assists in increasing the transmission capacity. Assuming the compensation degree is 40～50%, the transmission capacity can be enhanced by at least 30%.
