FR 1200, in white powder state, is PC resins specially used highly transparent PC Flame Retardant Agent, with excellent thermal stability and electrical properties. Its main component is sulfonate. FR 1200 diphenyl sulfone sulfonate (KSS or KSS-FR) can be used independently and can also be used together with silicone or high molecular organophosphate flame retardants to produce transparent or semitransparent flame retardant PC materials.

ApplicationsFR 1200 is used for pure PC (or colored PC) resins to improve their flame retardant grade to UL94 V0 (3.2 mm). It’s mainly used for the granulation and injection molding of PC. It’s not suitable for high addition level (max. no more than 5%) and especially not suitable for PC fiber addition. KSS flame retardant is an ideal choice for high temperature due to its good thermal stability.
Functions Environmentally friendly: no fluorine/bromine/chlorine/phosphorus Low addition level: 0.4-1% Less effect on the physical properties of PC: 10% Less effect on transparency: 3 unit Good thermal stability: TGA decomposition temperature (5%) 450℃ No precipitation in use due to polymer structure Physical and chemical properties Solubility: 20% Density: 0.75g/cm3Directly adding and then extruding by twin screw extruder. No demands for extruding temperature.
