When manufacturing a twill weave wire mesh, each weft wire passes over two and under two warp wires, and each warp wire passes over and under two weft wires. The wire diameter for both (warp and weft) is mostly the same.

In comparison to plain weave wire mesh, the woven wire mesh has a closer structure, stronger body and high durability. It's mostly used for filters with a fineness less than 63 μm.
