The sharp point tester is developed to check if a toy has potential sharp points which are dangerous for children, and it is a piece of commonly used toy testing equipment.
Principle
When using our point tester, a potential sharp point is inserted into the rectangular gauging slot which measures 0.040 inch wide and 0.045 inch long, and the sensing head is recessed a distance of 0.015 inch below the end cap. If the test point can move the sensing head a further 0.005 inch against a 0.5 pound force of a return spring, it is considered to be a hazardous sharp point.
