Applications
1. Potassium bromide is often found in the photosensitive material industry for the production of photosensitive film, developing solutions, film thickener, color matching agent, photo bleaching agent, and more.
2. In pharmaceutical industry, this product can function as a sedative. It can be also used as a reagent for chemical analysis. It gives other applications such as engraving, lithographic printing, and the preparation of special soap, among others.
3. Additionally, potassium bromide can be mixed with copper complexes to form a heat stabilizer in polyamide compounds. The heat stabilized polyamides can be used in automotive under-the-hook parts and specialty fibers.
