Potassium Formate
Properties
Potassium formate can be in two physical states. Liquid product is colorless and transparent without any visible suspended solid. It is able to react with strong oxidants, and its specific gravity is 1.57g/cm3 at 25℃. Its saturated solution is non-toxic and non-corrosive with its specific gravity of 1.58 g/cm3. Solid product is white crystalline powder with its density of 1.9100g/cm3. It is easily soluble in water.
Uses
1. Potassium formate is often found in oilfield industry. It is ideal for use in drilling, workover, and completion fluids.
2. Different from acetate additives, our product is a superior snow-melting agent. It has no strong odor, thus causing no corrosion to ground. As a result, potassium formate is well received by citizens and environment protectors.
3. Also, it can be applied in the leather processing industry.
4. In printing and dyeing industry, this product is used as reducing agent.
5. Additionally, it can serve as coagulator in cement, or used for other applications such as mining, electroplating, leaf fertilizer, carbon black, and more.
Packing
1. Solid potassium formate is packed into a woven bag lined with PP or PE bag. Its net weight is 1000kg or 25kg.
2. Liquid product is wrapped into a 200L plastic drum or a 1000L IBC tank. Its net weight is respectively 320kg and 1570kg.
Storage
Our product had better be stored in a dry warehouse in prevention of moisture. It must be handled with care.
