With the rated current up to 2,500A, the short-circuit breaking current of 31.5KA, the capacitor bank switching current of 630A and the mechanical life of 10,000 times, the ZN12-27.5B/2500-31.5 indoor single pole vacuum circuit breaker is developed on the basis of the 3AF technology introduced from German Siemens Company in 1983.

This first domestically produced vacuum circuit breaker dedicated to electrified railway was put into operation in the Chawu supply segment of Beijing Railway Bureau in 1990. So far, this indoor vacuum circuit breaker has been widely used in lots of domestic railway projects, such as the Beijing - Shijiazhuang line, Wuhan-Guangzhou line, Beijing-Qinhuangdao line, Shijiazhuang - Taiyuan line, Baotou-Xi'an line, Baoji-Lanzhou line, Guizhou-Guangxi line, Fuzhou-Xiamen line, and other railway trunk lines.
