The abrasion resistant waterproof fiber optic connector is mainly used in marine environments in order to provide 2 channels of electric power supply for the dragged equipment and 4 channels of optical fibers for transmission of related data and control signals. Because the cable has to drag the equipment directly, a great tensile strength is required and the connection between the cable and connector should be firmly fixed.
