Bulk fiber optic cable uses aramid yarn as its strength member. The optical fiber is covered with polyvinyl chloride or flame retardant polyvinyl chloride loose tube that is light, soft and easy to strip. It is suitable for optical fiber jumper wire or pigtail wire and fiber to the desktop cabling.
The tight-buffered optical fiber can directly connect to the optical cable, which requires no fiber optic splice closure and pigtail wire. There is no need to clean the waterproof gel, thus keeping installation costs low.
