Cold Rolled 409L Stainless Steel Sheet

DescriptionType 409L/S40903 stainless steel falls into the category of ferritic stainless steel that contains very little carbon and is magnetic. 409L stainless steel plate resists oxidation and can be welded with very successful results.

Perhaps one of the most popular uses for this metal material is in the car exhaust system, where it is used to make the muffler, exhaust pipe and the catalytic converter shell. Grade 409L stainless steel has fairly low resistance levels in terms of corrosion and resistance.

Welding Methods
