PVC Compounds for Wires and Cables

PVC, short for polyvinyl chloride, is the world's third-most widely produced synthetic plastic polymer. By adding other materials, the PVC can be increased in thermal resistance, toughness and ductility. Our company mainly manufactures such PVC compounds as insulation material, protection material and injection material.

The insulation material is mainly used to cover conductors, protecting them from being contacted with the air and avoiding electricity leakage.

As for the protection function, the PVC material can also be applied for covering wires and cables, isolating them from water, oil, extreme climates, corrosion and breakage.

The last is injection material. You can often find PVC used as the outermost cable shell and plug material. Under normal temperature, the PVC compound is resistant to any concentration hydrochloric acids, less than 90% sulfuric acids, 50%-60% nitric acids and less than 20% sodium hydroxide.
