Tempered Glass -  Toughened and Strengthened For Safety

AEON tempered glass is made by heating flat glass to just belowits softening temperature (650°C) and suddenly chilling it with jets of coldair. It results in the outer skins under powerful compressive stress and theinterior with severe tensile stress. In consequence, the impact applied to theglass will be overcome by the compressive stress on the surfaces to assuresafety of use. Thetempered glass is ideal for areas with high wind loadsand areas where human contacts are an important concern.

AEON temperedglass is the perfect option for architects who must operate according to building codes and safety requirements. Guaranteeingquality, AEON GLASS applies heat soak testing to all of its tempered glassbefore packaging and loading. The glass is toughedand strengthened for safety and available in all of our standard float thicknesses andsizes.

FEATURES
1. AEON temperedglass is 5 times harder than ordinaryfloat glass, with stronger resistance to thermalbreakage than annealed or heat strengthened glass.
2. Oncebreakage occurs, the glass disintegrates into small cubical fragments, whichare virtually harmless to human body. 
3. The tempered glass withstands abrupt temperature change of 220Centigrade. 
4. Sizes are produced as per customer request. Oncetempered, it can not be cut down.

APPLICATION
AEON tempered glass can avoid potential cuts and injuries as aresult of broken glass. It is widely applied to all doors (sliding, swingetc), windows (side, stair and bathroom etc.), handrailsand spiral staircases, shower enclosures, partitions and elevator enclosures, curtainwalls and storefronts and automotivewindow shields, etc.

AEON tempered glass is in compliance with China GB15763.2-2005 and 9963－1998, Europe EN 12600: 2002, 16 CFR 1201, America ASTM C1048, and UKBS 6206: 1995 standards.
