When looked from the outside, the TEPX series rotary distributor appears to be a conical drum with several outlet ducts around the bottom. Inside that drum is a rotary spout, which is a length of angled pipe that rotates to mate with each and every of the outlets.

The rotary motion is controlled by a cycloidal gearbox for stability and reliability. As the inner spout rotates, it aligns precisely with the opening of each outlet so that material can flow from the spout to the outlet. No cross-contamination occurs. After the spout lands into its precise location on the outlet duct, it forms a tight seal with the duct so that no material leaks out. This rotary valve distributor is suitable for handling foods, animal feeds, and other powders and pellets in food processing and animal feed pelleting industries.
