Conical Seals for Threading Machine, Type Z
Did you know that the threading operation may cause the pipe end to deform so it’s not round thereafter? This is due to the thread-cutting tool exerting too much force on the pipe that tends to bend it. Our conical seal, made of filled PTFE compounds, is specially designed for fitting inside the pipe end during a threading operation. When pressurized, the ring would expand radially outward to maintain a tight seal and rigid support against the inside wall of the steel pipe.

Internal Expansion and Support Device for Conical Seal
While it may look like an awl, this so-called internal expansion and support device is actually used to push into the opening of the conical seal so that it expands the seal until the seal is held tightly against the inside wall of the steel pipe.

Operating media: water, emulsified liquid, hydraulic oil
Operating temperature: -20~ 80°C
