Flame Retardant Masterbatch

This flame retardant masterbatch refers to HBCD masterbatch. It adopts general purpose polystyrene (GPPS) as its carrier, as well as the hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD) as flame retardant. The FR content varies from 50% to 70%. HBCD is considered as an additive flame retardant with wide applications.

This range of flame retardant masterbatch features proper melting point, high decomposition temperature, as well as high bromine content of approximately 74%. Thus, it pertains to the alicyclic brominated flame retardant with high rate of fire resistance. As an additive masterbatch, this plastic additive is regularly used in the production of fire-resistant XPS boards for external building insulation.
