Features and Applications
1. Potassium perfluorobutane sulfonate is characterized by ultra high stability of both chemical and thermal properties. It can resist over 450℃ of temperature. This sulphonated flame retardant is applicable for the engineering plastics that need to be processed at high temperature. Its minimum effective dose can reach 0.06-0.1 in accordance with weigh percentage.
2. Our product is non-poisonous, which contains no bromine or chlorine compound. It features high solubility and low dose when added into polycarbonates. It can be applied in the transparent polycarbonate, and the fire rating reaches class V0.
3. Potassium perfluorobutane sulfonate is also known as FR-2025. It is a kind of flame retardant that is produced by American 3M Company for transparent PC. For making PC reach flame retardant class V0, this product only requires approximately 0.06% of dose to be applied in polycarbonate.
4. As a kind of reactive combustion improver, FR-2025 may create a reaction with polycarbonate to form a stable structure at room temperature. Therefore, it will not have any influence on the transparency of PC. At high temperature, the structure may be decomposed and then absorb combustion factor to achieve the ideal reactive flame retardant effect.
5. Potassium perfluorobutane sulfonate does not contain chlorine, bromine, or other elements that may pollute the environment. Thus, it is a completely eco-friendly flame retardant. Different from other similar products, our FR-2025 requires low dose, and also minimizes the influence on physical and chemical properties of polycarbonates.
