Characteristics and Applications
1. Hydroxymethylphenylphosphinic acid, abbreviated as HMPPA, is a new type phosphorus-based flame retardant with phenylphosphine oxide structure. In comparison with the fire retardant CX18, our product is remarkably characterized by higher phosphorus content, as well as higher thermal stability and oxidation stability. In use of HMPPA, the flame-retardant copolymer can well resist fire, hydrolysis, and stain.
2. Hydroxymethylphenylphosphinic acid is an ideal phosphorus based additives for flame retardant polyesters. It can be applied in the manufacturing of polyester and nylon chips, filament, staple fibre, fabric, film, as well as other permanently flame-retardant polyester and nylon products. This phosphinate flame retardant is friendly to users, and has no influence on the technical parameters of both polyester and nylon.
3. Hydroxymethylphenylphosphinic acid can provide the flame retardant polyester chip with nice appearance, superb spinning property, great fibre strength, as well as nice dyeing property. The permanently flame-retardant polyester, nylon, and its fibre and fabric adopting HMPPA have been tested by the state-authorized department of quality supervision and inspection. Their oxygen index can reach over 32%, which complies with the regulations and requirements of GB8627B1 material. Additionally, the fire resistance performance can reach the international advanced level.
