Post-modernist interior design concept completely abandoned the solemnity and simplicity of modernism. There is often a historical metaphor and large amount of decorative details. An ambiguous, confusing emotion is created deliberately. The post-modernist design emphasizes the relation with space and advocates using non-traditional colors.

Our 4-person sofa is designed based on the above concept. It maintains the historical continuity, but it is not confined to the traditional logical thinking mode. It combines the abstract forms of the classical components by new techniques, such as the backrest with the shape of Chinese roc opening wings, the turtle-like solid wood feet, the seemingly broken leather covering process, and the distinctive chaise longue. In other words, by adopting non-traditional mixing, superimposing, dislocating and other techniques as well as symbolization, metaphor and other means, an ambiguous artistic image, which combines sense and reason as well as integrates tradition and modernity, is created. The 4-person sofa shows classical majestic demeanor, but it is also able to blend well into modern household life.
