In order to resolve this problem, our company researches and develops chitosan azelate, which has the similar structure with HA. In terms of moisture retention, this product is better than HA under same molecular weight. Besides that, this product has many other physiological functions. Firstly, it can activate macrophage and make immune system more active, thus more lysozyme, cytokine and epidermal growth factor can be produced. Secondly, this product can promote synthesis of collagen and HA, making skin soft, delicate and smooth. In addition, chitosan azelate has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory functions and it can promote wound healing as well.

Chitosan azelate has many outstanding features. Firstly, moisturizing capacity of this product is 4 times of glycerol and 2 times of sodium PCA, respectively. Secondly, compared with 0.2% hyaluronic acid, moisturizing capacity of this product is stronger and price is much cheaper. With all these features, this product can be used as natural additive in a variety of high-end skin care products, including facial cleanser, bath, skin care cream, mousse, colloidal cosmetic, moisturizing mousse, shampoo, etc. Our company can provide this product in two different forms, amorphous translucent solid and transparent viscous liquid. The added amount of chitosan azelate is 0.05% -0.5% (w/w) for solid and liquid product.
