Milling and Chamfering Machine

Maintenance
1. The reducer of our milling and chamfering machine uses 20# gear oil, and the oil content should reach the oil pointer when beveling angle is 25°.
2. Lithium base grease is applied by the fore bearing of main shaft, and the grease should be changed during overhaul.
3. Meanwhile, lithium based grease is coated directly on the clamping device, sliding guide rod, leadscrew which is responsible for angle adjustment, and screw used to adjust clamping device and supporting device. The inspections need to be carried out every week, and oil should be added if necessary.
4. User should also pay attention to the main shaft bearing. If the main shaft is loose, open the rear-end cover and loosen the lock washer, then rotate the nut clockwise. In this way, the gap of main shaft bearing is eliminated. Set the bearing at proper position, and tighten the nut using lock washer.
5. Please sharpen the cutter if it is blunt. Only the front end of the cutter can be ground, and surface grinding machine is suitable for this process. The maximum stock removal of the cutter is 2mm. If the stock removal is 0.5mm for a single time, washer should be set between cutter and main shaft end face according to the specific stock removal, and the washer needs to be fixed at the rear end of the cutter.
