Poliomyelitis Vaccine (Monkey Kidney Cell), Live

1.0g (one single sugar pill), containing not less than 5.95 lgCCID50 of poliovirus, including not less than 5.80 lgCCID50 of type I, not less than 4.80 lgCCID50 of type II, and not less than5.30 lgCCID50 of type III.
 
Administration and Dosage
The first vaccination is conducted when the infant is 2 months old. In the first year, three doses are supposed to be administered, with an interval of 4-6 weeks. At the age of four, one booster immunization is performed. People of different ages can also be vaccinated with the product if necessary.

Dose Form
This vaccine product is a white solid sugar pill.

Adverse Reactions
(1) Common adverse reactions: Usually oral administration causes no adverse reactions. Rarely, low fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or skin rashes may occur, and no specific treatment is necessary. Symptomatic treatment sometimes helps.
(2) Extremely rare adverse reactions: Vaccine-associated Paralytic Poliomyelitis (VAPP).
 
Contraindications
This product is contraindicated in people
(1) allergic to any components of the formulation, including the adjuvant and antibiotic.   
(2) with fever, acute diseases, severe chronic diseases, acute exacerbation of chronic diseases.
(3) with immunodeficiency or immunocompromise, or receiving immunosuppressive therapy.
(4) who are pregnant.
(5) with uncontrolled epilepsy or other progressive neurological diseases.
 
Precautions
(1) As an oral dose, this vaccine product shall not be administrated by injection.
(2) Subject who has or whose family member has chronic diseases, allergic constitution, or a history of seizure or epilepsy should use this product with caution.
(3) It is recommended to take the dose with warm water below 37°C. The product shall not be taken with hot water.
(4) After opening the container, be sure to leave the disinfectants away from the vaccine. The remaining product should be kept under temperature of 2-8°C and be exhausted in the same day, or be discarded.
(5) Epinephrine shall be prepared in advance in case of severe allergic reaction. The subjects should go through a 30-minute observation after vaccination.
(6) The product shall be discarded if there happens to be turbid solution, cracked package, vague label, validity period expiration, or other abnormities.
(7) Avoid repetitive freezing and thawing.
(8) The administration of the vaccine should be at least three months after the administration of immunoglobulin.
(9) The administrations of different attenuated live vaccines should be separated at an interval of at least 1 month.
(10) As a live attenuated vaccine, the product is not recommended to be used during the epidemic of poliomyelitis.
 
Storage and Transportation
This product should be stored under temperature below -20℃. It should be transported under 2-8℃, away from light.
