The 24kV VMD3 side-mounted vacuum circuit breaker is an independently developed new high voltage circuit protection device of our company. This 24kV side-mounted CB is equipped with a spring operating mechanism which, newly designed by our company, enjoys a simple structure and reliable performances.
Product Features of the 24kV Side-mounted Circuit Breaker
1. This side-mounted circuit protection equipment, the 3rd generation vacuum circuit breaker, is an elaborately designed and manufactured device;
2. Of a side-mounted structure, this 24kV CB requires a much smaller switchgear, saving space and production cost;
3. This vacuum circuit breaker employs an optimized drive system---the gear drive system which facilitates the device to operate in a smoother and securer way;
4. Thanks to its sound performance, this new generation electrical switch, completely meeting the requirements for an automatic reclosing lock, is highly qualified for a working occasion where frequent operations or repeated opening and closing of circuits are needed;

Wide Application of 24kV Side-Mounted Circuit Breaker
Thanks to its advanced performance, this 24kV circuit breaker could be used in a wide range of areas, such as the power distribution, hydropower plants, wind power plants, thermal power plants, oil and gas plants, offshore operations, and urban infrastructure constructions. Spring Operating System
1. All circuit control boards of our side-mounted circuit breaker are manufactured by our company. The modular design they employ could ensure a reliable electrical connection and make it easier for you to replace components inside;
2. 80% components used in the electrical circuit switch are plated with Ni-P alloy that significantly improves the components' resistance to erosion and ensures a stable quality of them;
3. Of an enclosed structure, the tripping coil and closing coil of this 24kV vacuum circuit breaker could be free from moistures;
4. The tripping unit and closing unit of this side-mounted CB, enjoying simple structures and reliable operating principles, could not only avoid some malfunctions, for example, the breaker can not keep closed or fails to break, but also lower the power needed for a trip;
5. Of an optimized integral structure, this 24kV safety switch employs a gear drive system instead of the chain drive, which enables it to operate in a far more stable way;

Unique Gear Driven System
We have improved the overall design of this 24kV side-mounted circuit breaker operating mechanism of which the structure is simple and compact, and the standard parts can be used by other electrical switches. Furthermore, this circuit controlling equipment employs a unique gear drive system to replace the traditional chain-wheel drive system. Therefore, it could operate in a more stable way and enjoy a longer mechanical life.
Circuit Control Board
Different from traditional vacuum breaker, 24kV side-mounted CB's circuit control board is equipped with couples of additional mini fuses which, cheap and easy to replace, could protect the electronic components from being burnt. We could also provide custom circuit control board to you according to your specific needs.

As a professional medium voltage electrical switches manufacturer, Mingde Electrical has established cooperative relations with switchgear manufacturers and construction contractors around the world. Cooperation with those companies promotes our products to be wildly applied in the major projects of multiple countries and regions.
For instance, this side-mounted circuit breaker was adopted by the BURC and FEKEⅡhydropower plants construction projects in Turkey. In July, 2010, the first unit was assembled on the site and went through the acceptance inspection. In Aug. 9th of the same year, we were certified to the mechanical and electrical completion certificates for the first units of both projects.
In Feb. 2012, our company delivered a batch of VMD3-24 circuit breakers to an electrical power equipment company who manufactures HV-MV switchgears. The 24kV indoor circuit breaker we produced together with that company’s own switchgears, were used by PETRONAS in Malaysia.
