Fish Trap and Chain

As a high strength chain supplier, we also provide fish traps and chains in U2 or U3 grade. Fish traps can come in the form of a fishing weir or lobster trap. A typical trap generally consists of a thick steel wire frame in the shape of a heart, with chicken wire stretched around it. The mesh wraps around the frame, then tapers into the interior of the trap. When a fish swims through the opening, it can't get out, as the chicken wire opening bends back into the original shape.

Our aquaculture and fishery chains come in a diameter ranging from 16 to 42 mm. Both mid link chains and long link chains are available to meet the needs of different customers. The stud link chains with a diameter of 26, 30, and 32 mm are commonly used in fisheries in Peru and Chile. Some of our studless link chains are heat treated and can be supplied with third party inspection certificates issued by the LR, ABS, BV and others.

We can also offer fish traps, king crab traps and lobster traps. Our fish traps are woven from nylon threads and come with a protective ring made of iron wires. Fish traps and chains produced by us are commonly sold in Northern Europe, North America and South America. These aquaculture traps can also be custom made according to customer drawings or samples.
