Leshan boasts a fruitful history of serving various cable installation projects constructed around the world. This page details the overhead cable.
The 1kV and 10 kV aerial insulated cables consist of a copper or aluminum conductor, an inner shielding layer, weather-proof insulation material, and an outer shielding layer. This type of power wire is favored for use in suspended power line systems, such as on utility poles and electrical pylons, which is advantageous because the cost is much lower compared to underground lines.
Standards Compliance of Aerial Insulated Electrical Wire
GB/T12527-2008 1kV Aerial insulation cable. (According to IEC502, IEC227 Standard)
GB/T14049-2008 10kV Aerial insulation cable
Working conditions of aerial insulated cable
1. Rated voltage: 1kV, 10kV.
2. Maximum working temperature:
XLPE insulation cable: 90℃
HDPE insulation cable: 75℃
3. In case of a short(lasting less than 5 seconds), maximum temperature:
XLPE insulated cables: 250℃
HDPE insulated cables: 150℃
4. During cable laying, the ambient temperature must be above -20℃.
5. Bending radius allowance of the cable
1kV insulated air cable
no less than 4D for the cable with outer diameter less than 25mm
no less than 6D for the cable with outer diameter of 25mm or more.
10kV aerial insulation power cable:
Single core cable: 20 (D d)±5%mm.
Multi-core cable: 15 (D d)±5%mm
D = Actual cable outer diameter.
d = Actual conductor outer diameter.
