WDM is referred to as a wavelength division multiplex. Launched by HiOSO, it can be divided into OLT-WDM and ONU-WDM. This communication system can multiplex and demultiplex 1550nm CATV signal and 1310nm/1490nm IP signal so as to be transmitted in one fiber. OLT-WDM is used to multiplex EPON OLT and CATV optical transmitter signals. ONU-WDM is coordinated with OLT-WDM for demultiplexing.
