The expansion bolt is also known as expansion anchor or wedge anchor. The working principle of it is to take advantage of the wedge slope to promote expansion and generate frictional bond strength, thus achieving the fixing effect.
The expansion anchor comes in strength grades of 45, 50, 60, 70, and 80. The materials are mainly austenitic A1, A2, A4, martensitic and ferritic C1, C2, C4. For example, A2-70 stands for a catagory that adopts austenitic A2 material and has a strength grade of 70. The following is the full specification sheet.
The expansion bolts are commonly made of Q215, Q235, 25 and 45 steel. To make important or special-purpose fasteners, we have optional high mechanical performance alloys, such as 15Cr, 20Cr, 40Cr, 15MnVB, 30CrMrSi, etc.
