Stud for Steel Framed Building

The stud is also known as shear stud, weld stud, or shear connector. It is suitable for the penetration welding between steel beam and steel deck. The basic specifications are ¢ 13, ¢ 16, ¢ 19, ¢ 22, and ¢ 25. Special specifications are also available.

Hit the stud with a hammer, until it bends in 30°. No visible crack in the welding seam and heat affected zone.

Bending Test Fix the stud on test tool. Alternatively bend the stud in positive and negative 30° directions until it breaks. Or, just bend it in 90°. No crack in the welding seam.

Bending Test Hit the stud by a hammer. When the bending angle is less than 30°, no crack should appear in the stud rod and weld section.
