Building Maintenance Unit (BMU)

Overview
The building maintenance unit (BMU) is a kind of suspended access equipment intended to be permanently installed and dedicated to a specific building or structure for cleaning and maintaining windows or exterior walls. BMU can keep the hard to reach surface of high-rise building neat and clean through assisting the regular cleaning task. Moreover, it can also reproduce the taste and value of the building through repair works. For example, our equipment can be used in decorating, repairing or repainting the exterior wall and facade of buildings, and removing or repairing facilities & glass curtain walls. In addition, it also can be used for installing outdoor signs, neon light advertisings and fire emergency channels.

The building maintenance unit produced by Little Swan is specialized equipment for keeping the facade of the whole high-rise building clean. It can reach the entire facade of high-rise buildings, through up and down movement of the gondola, back and forth movement of the trolley and rotation of the main boom. Therefore, BMU is an excellent facility for the manual cleaning and maintenance of windows and exterior walls.

Every building differs from each other in both shape and surface, so building maintenance unit shall be designed and manufactured according to the specific situation of building.Therefore, BMUs manufactured by Little Swan are non-standard designed, their structures vary greatly and operation methods are not the same except for some major components. According to the common installation methods, BMUs can be classified into three types: roof rail type , suspended rail type, and fixed inserting jib type.

Roof Rail Type Gondola
1. Track is arranged on top of the roof or interior parapet wall. Trolley can walking along the track fast and conveniently.
2. The suspended basket is hanged with four steel ropes independently which offers better safety.
3. Trolley hoist either can adopts the single layer or multilayer winch system.
4. Jib lubing system adopts mechanical transmission or hydraulic transmission which has stable performance.
5. The facade access equipment is equipped with manual landing device so it can effectively ensure the safety of working staff.

Roof Rail Type Gondola
1. Suspended rail is arranged on the exterior parapet wall.
2. Rail climbing device is connected with the climbing gondola so the gondola can walk along the suspended track.
3. The working platform can move up or down along the wire rope through electric hoist. The safety lock is arranged on the suspended platform to ensure the safety of working staff.
4. This type of facade access system is also equipped with safe, reliable manual downhill gliding device.

Fixed Inserting Jib Type Gondola
1. The inserting jib is fixed on the roof buried socket for hanging the working platform.
2. Operators can switch their working positions by changing the positions of the Portable Davit.
3. The working platform can move up or down along the wire rope through electric hoist. The safety lock is arranged on the suspended platform to ensure the safety of working staff.
4. This suspended access equipment is equipped with safe, reliable manual downhill gliding device.
