The tapered roller thrust bearing is axially compact bearing which can carry very heavy axial load. It shows less sensitivity to impact load and good rigidity. Due to the tapered roller, rolling generatrix and raceway generatrix of washers intersects at a point in axis of the bearing. So pure rolling can be achieved, and the tapered roller thrust bearing has higher limit speed than cylindrical roller thrust bearing.
