The PTFE architectural membrane, as a new type of building material, is a kind of composite material. It is polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) coated glass cloth which is woven with glass fiber of 3 μm in diameter. Its structure is quite stable and can stand a certain amount of load. The flexible texture, various shapes give it outstanding advantage in shaping, span over traditional materials.
Feature
1. High strength and long service life
2. Smooth surface
This building material is difficult to get dirty, so little cleaning cost is needed.
3. Anti-UV and fireproofing
4. Light
With light weight, the PTFE architectural membrane can be sectioned or connected before on-site installation, increasing the building speed.
5. High reflectance and low absorptivity of sun light
Our products can prevent the solar energy from entering the building, so the thermal insulation and temperature control performance is remarkable. As a semi-transparent membrane, the lighting system can be saved during the day. Accordingly, energy cost is lowered.
6. No support structure is needed for a large covering area
The PTFE architectural membrane ceiling building doesn’t need support structure from the inside. So there is no limitation for the indoor design, and the inner space can be fully take advantage of.
7. The light transmittance of our PTFE architectural membrane is about 13%
The sun light will be converted into scattered light when it goes through this PTFE coated fiberglass. Then color of the object in the building is the same as how it looks from outside.
Application
