Introduction
Ship survey, also known as on and off hire survey or on and off hire condition survey, is performed by the third party surveyors to inspect and record the current conditions of ship, including painting, corrosion, cleanness, bunker fuel quantity and easily damaged parts like hull, wall, hold floor, hatch cover, etc.
Generally, an identification certificate is signed and issued by us after thorough surveying work as documented proof of the true condition of the ship before chartering. Once tenancy expires and the ship is returned to the owner or delivered for sub-charter, we will conduct ship survey again on your behalf, and the findings can be used to substantiate claims that may arise because of ship or cargo damage.
Surveying Items
In addition to the above-mentioned items, this surveying service is also involved in items like cab, dining room, life-saving equipment, poop, main deck, cargo hold and auxiliary facilities, cabin, rudder, etc. We will record the true conditions of those parts of the ship. For damaged parts, we will take photos and send them to you with the certificate we issue.
