Utility Pole

Utility pole plays an important role in the electric power system. In order to meet the increasingly higher demand for power poles, telephone poles, etc, Highlight Company developed a new type of tapered steel pole for the power distribution systems and communication systems. The hot dip galvanization technique can protect the steel utility pole from corrosion for as long as 50 years. Besides, our range of utility pole has been tested and approved by the Transmission Pole-Tower Testing Station.

Our utility pole, being manufactured from steel sheet that has been subjected to hydraulic pression and longitudinal welding, has a tapered tubular structure with a multilateral cross section. To achieve a proper height, the utility pole can be assembled by plugging tube sections into each other at the installation site. According to its applications, it can be utilized as electric pole, transmission pole, telephone pole, telegraph poles or telecommunication pole.

As an alternative to the traditional wooden poles, our hot galvanized steel pole can be utilized to bear the conductors and electric distribution equipment, light load electric transmission equipment, phone, cable, and other communication equipment. The advantages of our utility pole include:

Compared to wooden pole, our steel power pole is more weather resistant.

The zinc layer can protect our telephone poles or power poles from corrosion. The galvanizing technique is widely used for its double protection properties. As a shield, the zinc layer serves as a powerful protective coat to avoid the any damages from the inside and outside surroundings.

Compared to the wooden pole, tapered galvanized steel utility pole is cheaper, serves longer and needs less maintenance fee. Additionally, the metals are recycled material.

Using tapered steel pole is the best solution to deal with EPA regulation. Besides, the over-exploitation of the forest can be eased as well. The coating material is eco-friendly, and the utility pole is recyclable when its life runs out.

The steel utility pole can be installed by direct burial into the ground or fixing by flange plates. It can deal with longer electric wire span and heavier load while the height is higher.

Tapered steel structure does not need any earthed device because it is a conductor itself.
