Mould

The mould is a vessel into which concrete slurry is poured. In the mould, the slurry stiffens to form the green cake. The green cake rises due to the evolution of hydrogen gas from the reaction between aluminum powder and rest of concrete slurry. This process is termed as pre-setting.

After the initial setting, the green cake is loaded onto the transfer car which sends the cake into the pre-curing chamber via the pull of a towing device. Once inside the pre-curing chamber, the cake further gains strength. Subsequently, the hardened cake is transported to the demoulding crane (tilting equipment) whereby the mould is stripped off of the cake. The mould is primarily made up of four side plates and one detachable bottom plate. It rests on wheels and is pulled via the hook that is installed on its side plate.
