T8 LED Tube
A T8 LED tube is 1 inch or roughly 25mm in diameter. It is most widely used as an alternative to traditional incandescent lights. Compared with T5 light tube, the T8 LED tube is older, thicker, yet offers brighter light.
In the past, the T8 fluorescent lamp tube used electric current (in the neon or argon gas) to excite the mercury vapor that produces shortwave ultraviolet light which causes a phosphor coating on the inside of the tube to fluoresce. As fluorescence occurs, the tube emits visible light.
With the advent of LED technology, new T8 LED lamp tube is created to provide users with higher intensity of light output, longer lifespan, and maximum energy efficiency. A 16W LED is equivalent in output to a 40w fluorescent lamp while the former saves 70% of power.

Installation Method
Please note:
LED light tubes are designed to fit in fixtures that were previously prepared for fluorescent tubes. During replacement, we recommend you to remove the ballast and starter from the fixture.
