Galvanized Steel Pipe

The galvanized steel pipe is divided into cold galvanized type and hot galvanized type. The former has been banned for use in water supply due to the thin, easy-to-fall-off zinc layer while the latter is commonly used.

The steel pipe to be hot galvanized is firstly subject to acid washing which aims to remove the iron oxide on the pipe surface. After pickling, the pipe is dipped into the solution tank filled with ammonium chloride solution or zinc chloride solution or the mixed aqueous solution of ammonium chloride and zinc chloride for washing. Then, the pipe is sent into the hot-dip plating tank where iron and zinc are chemically bound to one another.

The hot dip galvanized coating is uniform and of strong adhesion as well as long service life.

Standard:
1. GB/T3091-2008 Welded Steel Pipe for Low Pressure Fluid Transport
2. GB/T13793-2008 Steel Pipe with Longitudinal Weld
3. GB/T21835-2008 Dimensions and Weight per Unit Length of Welded Steel Pipe

Application
The galvanized steel pipe can be used in many industries, such as construction, machinery, coal mine, chemical engineering, transportation, etc.

Remark: Both circular tube and square tube can be galvanized. Pipe fittings can also be coated with zinc as per customer demand.
