The jaw crusher is mainly composed of outer frame, eccentric shaft, fixed jaw, swing jaw, toggle plate and other components. The eccentric shaft is driven by a motor via V-belt to make the swing jaw move at a predetermined track, so materials in the crushing chamber are crushed.
Major Components and Functions
1. The outer frame is constructed from cast steel, and it has a whole structure. In the front of frame sets a fixed jaw fastened by wedge-shaped bolts, and guard boards are installed on the machine frame at left and right sides of crushing chamber to prevent wear of side plates. The swing jaw is made from cast steel, and its top end hangs to the frame with the help of eccentric frame and roller bearing, whilst its bottom end is supported by toggle plate, creating rolling contact with toggle plate.
2. On the other hand, the flywheel and belt pulley are placed at the two ends of eccentric shaft, and one side of toggle plate is set on regulation seat and forms rolling contact with bearing.
3. For this jaw crusher, the toggle plate supports the swing jaw, and it also has another important function. Sometimes, materials inside crushing chamber can’t be crushed, resulting in sudden load increase. Under this condition, toggle plate will break in a short time to protect other components.
4. Moreover, the regulation seat is installed in sliding chutes at two sides of the frame, and it is close to wedge block. When discharge opening needs adjustment, use a wrench to screw the nut in right-hand direction, and the wedge block will move upwards to make the regulation seat move forward. In this way, the gap becomes narrower, and it will get wider if the nut is turned in left-hand direction.
Applications
This jaw crusher is mainly applied to process various minerals and large materials into medium-sized particles, and the crushed material shows a highest compressive strength that can reach up to 320MPa. Based on these, this machine is widely accepted in many fields, such as mines, roads, railways, metallurgy, building materials, chemical engineering, water conservancy projects, etc.
