Manufacturing Technique
Our aluminum electrolytic cell brick adopts silicon nitride bonded silicon carbide as its raw material. It is subjected to the mechanical pressing process, plus the vacuum nitriding and sintering process. Its dimension (length× width× thickness) is 400mm×300mm×50mm.
Distinguished Performance
1. This aluminum electrolytic cell brick is basically used as the molten pool or electrolytic cell (reduction cell) lining, for the production of aluminum, copper, and zinc.
2. It is an ideal material to manufacture the side-wall lining brick of electrolytic cell, because this Si3N4 bonded SiC material is hard to be corroded by metallic aluminum. Additionally, this material does not create a chemical reaction with cryolite.
3. In particular, our aluminum electrolytic cell brick features high strength, strong wear resistance, and no electrical conductivity. Thus, it can form eutectic mixture of alumina and cryolite on its surface. The mixture serves as a layer of protective film to protect the working layer of cell lining, and also prolong the service life of electrolytic cell.
4. At the same time, this aluminum electrolytic cell brick has lower thermal conductivity than the carbon brick. For this reason, it can reduce the thickness when serving as the side wall. Also, it can expand the volume of electrolytic cell and enhance the production capacity of this cell, by inputting higher power.
5. Owing to high electrical resistivity, this material is able to reduce the power consumption of side wall by approximately 15%. Also, it can well protect the environment.
