A. Hot Rolled H-beam
It is also called wide flange I beam. It is rolled by using the H-shaped steel rolling mill with the universal rack. Its feature is the two flanges are parallel with vertical angle between the flange and web.
The product has economic ad reasonable cross-section shape as well as good mechanical property. During the rolling process, each point on the cross section extends uniformly with small internal stress. In comparison to the ordinary I beam, the H-beam shows more excellent merits in large section modulus, light weight, metal saving, etc. It can help save the weight of structure by 30% to 40% when used for architectural structure.
By reason of the parallel inside and outside of the flange as well as the right-angled flange end, the product can economize the welding and riveting work by 25% during the process of assembling the components. So, it is often employed for those occasions requiring large bearing capacity and good cross section stability, covering large building such as high-rise building and factory building, bridge, ship, hoisting and conveying machinery, machinery foundation, support, foundation pile, etc.
The hot rolled H-beam can be divided into the wide flange type (HK), narrow flange type (HZ) and H section steel pile (HU). We often define the product by height (H) × width (B) × thickness of web (t1) × thickness of flange (t2), such as HK200×206×15.0×25.0mm. Generally, the specification range for the wide flange product is HK100 to HK900, for the narrow flange product is HZ80 to HZ600, and for the H section steel pile is HU200 to HU500.
B. Light Duty Welded H-beam
This product is often welded by taking usage of high frequency welding process, CO2 shielded arc welding, or manual welding. It is suitable for the column, beam, purline and support of the light steel structure. The model of the product is often expressed by height (H) × width (B) with the unit of millimeter. The specification ranges from 100×50mm to 454×300mm, etc.
