Currently, using sulfur as the vulcanizing agent in the rubber industry is very common. As a variant of the sulfur, insoluble sulfur is widely used in the manufacture of tires, rubber shoes, rubber tubes, rubber belts, and other rubber products. It has been widely adopted in the adhesion of rubber and steel wires.
The insoluble sulfur is a kind of non-toxic, flammable yellow powder. It gets this name because of its insolubility in carbon disulfide. It belongs to the inorganic polymer chemical raw materials. Insoluble sulfur is mainly used as an advanced accelerator and vulcanizing agent in the rubber industry. Since it enables the steel wires and rubber of the radial tire to stick together firmer, prevents rubber material blooming, and improves the heat resistance and wear resistance of the tire, it becomes an essential raw material in the production of tire.

5. Property
Non-toxic, flammable yellow powder; Insoluble in carbon disulfide
Insoluble sulfur is obtained through the thermal polymerization of common sulfur and its molecular weight is about 30,000. It has the viscoelasticity and molecular weight distribution like polymer, so it is also named elastic sulfur or polymeric sulfur.
6. Use
Insoluble sulfur is widely used as a vulcanizing agent in the manufacture of tires and other rubber products, such as rubber tubes, rubber belts, rubber shoes, cables, rubber rollers, oil seals, and so on. It can also be applied in the light-colored rubber products which need a large amount of sulfur.
7. Packaging
