12.5 GA High-Tensile Steel Wire

The 12.5 GA high-tensile steel wire comes with a heavy-duty coating and is designed for trellis applications. Our durable vineyard wire is guaranteed to last for decades. The most popular size is 12.5 gauge (contact us for other sizes). A Spinning Jenny is an excellent tool for laying out the wire, its proficiency makes it indispensable in the field. Please not, however, that it does not work with the 500' coil, our shortest specification. Many of our clients prefer the 12.5 gauge for the convenience that it offers. A lighter 14 gauge can be utilized for irrigation or as a catch wire. Our Vineyard Monofilament wire is also a great choice for these tasks.

The weight specifications are largely dependant on coil lengths. For reference, our 2,640' coil is 68 lbs., the 1,000' coil is 28 lbs., the 500' coil is 14 lbs., the 4,000' coil is 100 pounds, and the 5,000' coil is 89 lbs. The 12.5 GA high-tensile steel wire can be shipped via UPS with overweight surcharges. Typically 3 or more rolls are shipped in a single freight carrier.
