A single-ram BOP is a well control device, common in drilling operations like small wellbore drilling, well overhauling and formation tests. The single ram is oblong and the BOP can be opened manually or hydraulically. The valve connection has three types, dual flanges, top stud and bottom flange, and dual studs.
