Our wood drill bit covers three-point type, flat type, Forstner type and auger type.

The three-point type product is a kind of variation of twist drill head. The normal twist drill head would slide to other place easily when boring hole on flat processing surface. So, during the drilling process, a guide hole is often bored for positioning the drill head. But as to the woodworking, the user can have a much better choice.

The straight drilling tip at the center of the three-point product can stick into the wood like an awl. Then, the product won't slide. Featuring good machining accuracy and excellent processing effect with good smooth finish and little burr of hole, it can also be employed for processing counterbore.

The three-point wood drill head is often suitable for processing the hole of 3mm to 16mm. Its material is 45# steel with the hardness of HRC40 to HRC48 or GCr15 with the hardness of HRC55 to HRC62. Generally, the common type three-point wood drill head is processed through rolling, while the high precision one is processed through milling.

With fast speed for boring hole, the product is often applied for processing hole with low requirement to machining accuracy and thin sheet needing to be pierced. Its shank is often produced to be the hexagonal shape for facilitating clamping. It can also be made with a groove. The product with the size of no greater than 8mm is generally processed with a round shank.

Regularly, the wood flat drill bit comes with the outer diameter ranging from 6mm to 40mm, material of 45# steel and the hardness from HRC40 to HRC48. The higher level product would choose the 65# steel as the raw material to get a higher hardness of HRC45 to HRC54, leading to better cutting effect.

We can also make the product with three tips in compliance with the requirements of customers. The product with three tips would be sharper and can have more excellent working efficiency. Our production standard is Q/32181 RFD005.

The Forstner product is especially used for processing hole with high precision and flat-bottomed hole. It can achieve cutting on the edge of the wood and also process on the overlapped holes. When using the product, the user needs to push the product hard to make it deep into the wood material. The product is often mounted onto the bench drill rather than the hand drill.

The regular specification of the product is 8mm to 50mm. The head part is produced by using the T10 tool steel through lost-wax casting with the hardness of HRC49 to HRC55. The product is very capable of processing various wood and plastic boards. The production standard is DIN7483.

The commonly used material for the product is 45# steel, 65# steel and 60Si2Mn. Then, the hardness is HRC40 to HRC48, HRC45 to HRC54 and HRC52 to HRC58 correspondingly. Usually, the product is formed through milling with the specification of 6mm to 30mm.

Following the standard of DIN7425, the product is designed reasonably to two types. The type with fine pitch thread is fit for hand drill to process the cork wood and wet wood. It can drill into the wood slowly. The type with coarse thread can be applied both for hand drill and electric drill. It can screw into the material to be cut quickly.
