Prefabricated Insulated Pipe for Underground Installation

The prefabricated insulated pipe for underground installation is composed of steel pipe, glass reinforced plastic inner sheath, and glass reinforced plastic shell. It also contains high temperature resistant thermal insulation layer, lubricating layer and elastic seal.


This underground pipe features good thermal insulation property, high safety and reliability, as well as low construction cost. It is suitable for delivering various media with the temperature of -50℃ to 150℃.

Composition
The prefabricated insulated pipe for underground installation is primarily composed of four parts.
1. Working steel tube
According to the technical requirements of the medium to be transported, the welded steel tube, seamless steel tube, or double-sided spiral submerged arc welded steel tube can be used as the central working steel tube.


2. Thermal insulation layer
Rigid PU foam is adopted.


3. Protective shell
High density polyethylene or glass reinforced plastic is used.


4. Leakage alarm line
During the production process of the prefabricated insulated pipe, an alarm line is built in the thermal insulation layer near the steel tube. Once there is leakage, through the conduction of the alarm line, the special detecting instrument would give an alarm and display the accurate position and the degree of leakage. Then, the maintainer can handle the leaky tube part quickly to ensure safe operation of the heat supply network.

Advantages
1. Our prefabricated insulated pipe can be buried underground directly with no need of building a large trench. The amount of earth excavation is reduced by more than 50%, and the amount of civil masonry and concrete quantity is cut down by 90%. Also, the pipe construction and field ditching can be carried out at the same time. This shortens the construction period by about 50% or more.


2. The buried pipe has excellent insulation performance. Its heat loss is only 25% of that of traditional tubing. Thus, the economical effect can be remarkable in long term operation.


3. The prefabricated insulated pipe has strong resistance to water and corrosion. It can be directly buried underground or underwater, which is simple and fast, leading to lower comprehensive cost.


4. Under low temperature conditions, our prefabricated pipe also has good resistance to shock and corrosion, so it can be buried into frozen soil directly.


5. The service life of the prefabricated insulated pipe reaches 30 to 50 years. Correct installation and use can lower the maintenance cost significantly.


6. The functional alarm system can automatically detect the leakage fault in the pipe network, accurately display fault location, and automatically issue an alarm.
