Cone Crusher

Cone crusher comes in a variety of configurations, the most common being the spring version as well as the spring and hydraulic cylinder combination type. The number of uses for this crusher is nearly endless, such as in rock crushing industry, ore dressing factory, and cement plant. Maximum size reduction ratio, great productivity, low replacement cost, and easy operation are four major benefits of this mechanical device for its end users.

Uses
This series of cone crusher is widely used in metallurgy, building, road construction, chemical, and phosphate industry, where it is employed to break down hard and medium hard ores and rocks, including iron ore, copper ore, limestone ore, quartz, granite, basalt, and diabase. The type of crushing chamber is determined from the consideration of the degree to which it crushes the staring material. The standard model is for medium crushing, medium-size type for fine crushing, and short head type for ultra-fine crushing.

Components of a Spring Cone Crusher and its Work Principle

The spring type crusher mainly consists of the crusher frame, transmission system, eccentric main shaft, bowl bearing, crushing chamber, remote adjuster for the adjustment of liner/mantle clearance distance, adjuster bushing, spring, and hydraulic cylinder for adjusting the size of discharge opening. During operation, the spinning energy of the motor is transferred to the eccentric main shaft bush via the horizontal countershaft and a spiral bevel gear set. The main shaft bush are put off-center, creating the oscillatory motion of the cone crusher mantle. As the crushing surface is repeatedly drawn near and away from the liner surface, the ores are constantly crushed, bent, and broken within the crushing cavity.

Main Features
1. The crushing chamber is specially manufactured according to the level of pressure the material to be crushed is able to withstand. Each type of chamber is designed with a suitable rotating speed to enable maximum size reduction ratio, great productivity, and improved percentage of cubic-shaped products.
2. Unique to our cone crusher is the hydraulic system that enables chamber clearing and overload protection. Should some non-crushable irons enter the cone or there be a major blockage in the crushing chamber, the hydraulic system would collapse the spring that allows the upper frame to rise and the material to exit the chamber. This eliminates hours of downtime spent digging out the chamber. It also saves huge maintenance cost.
3. The mantle and liner are made of materials with high abrasion resistance. The special chamber design helps reduces the effect of abrasion on the liner and mantle, which leads to a 30% to 80% longer service time.
4. Clearance between the mantle and line is adjusted with hydraulics. The whole crusher is lubricated by oil. Labyrinth seal design avoids the dilution of oil by water which is often a headache facing traditional spring cone crusher owners.
5. The bottom opening of the crushing chamber is a narrow cavity formed by two parallel surfaces, allowing finished products of uniform sizes to pass. The material inlet is a small-size opening that only allows pre-crushed material to pass.
6. The crusher can be lubricated by either oil or water. Foreign matters will not enter into the cone body easily. This prevents the lubricating oil from being polluted, which in turn extends the use life of linear bearing and thrust ball boring. Hence, high operating stability is ensured.
