Drum Granulator

The rotary drum granulator is an integral part of compound fertilizer production line. Uniform granulation, high volume output, and small floor space are the major benefits of the granulator for its end users.

Usage
In the rotary drum, complex chemical reactions take place accompanied by the release of heat, as water vapor, ammonia gas, phosphoric acid solution, nitrogen solution, ammonia phosphate slurry, or heavy calcium carbonate is directed into the drum. During this process, moisture can be added to improve the water content contained in the granular fertilizer. As the drum rotates, the fertilizer particles are tumbled within the drum. Gradually, bonds are created between them to form granules. Granulation occurs only under a certain temperature and humidity.

Main Features
1. A high first pass yield of 70% can be achieved with our drum granulator. As with all material handling processes, there is a small amount of material that needs to be recycled. The returned material is generally of small size, and can be re-granulated.
2. Via steam heating, the chamber temperature rises. The resulting product contains little water content. This makes it easier to dry the product.
3. Engineering plastics are used to construct the inner drum surface, resulting in reduced ability of feed stock to stick to the drum as well as improved insulation and corrosion resistance.
4. Very little power is used to deliver high volume output. The granulator also costs you less to repair.
