Functions and Applications
CWDM is designed to multiplex multiple optical signals on laser beams at varied wavelengths onto a single strand of optical fiber. At the receiving end, an optical demultiplexer can be utilized to separate the combined signals which are then transmitted to corresponding receiving equipment.


Coarse wavelength division multiplexers are ideal for multiplexed transmission and wavelength conversion of various analog signals, as well as digital signals like SDH, ATM, Ethernet, and Fiber Channel.
