The diesel engine water pump is driven by the diesel engine through the flexible coupling. The diesel engine driven water pump produced by our company has reasonable structure, high efficiency, small vibration, low noise, stable running, easy assembly and disassembly, good cavitation performance, and other advantages.
1. Composition
A horizontal centrifugal pump, a diesel engine, and electrical instrumentation are mounted on a base frame. They are connected to the electric cabinet via control and signal lines.
2. Features
a. Automatic Start
When the diesel engine water pump receives fire alarm, pipe network pressure, power failure or other start signals, it will automatically start within 15 seconds.
b. Automatic Charging
The battery of this equipment can be charged by the utility power of the diesel charging motor, so as to ensure smooth startup of the pump.
c. Automatic Alarm
For low oil pressure of diesel engine, high water temperature and other faults, our product can automatically send alarms. It can alarm and stop under overspeed.
d. Automatic Preheating
The automatic preheating function makes the diesel engine in the standby state, thus ensuring emergency response.
e. Less Failure Point
The diesel engine and the water pump are directly connected by a flexible coupling. This reduces failure points, shortens the startup time, and improves reliability.

4. Control Technology
The automatic control panel installed in our diesel engine water pump can start the pump within 15 seconds after it receives the start command from the user. It can also monitor, send alarms, and handle the faults arising during the operation process of the pump.
The control panel is composed of a GU320A intelligent LCD automatic controller, a manually start key, an oil pressure gauge, and a water temperature gauge. It has stable performance, complete functions, and strong universality. It can match a variety of diesel engine water pumps.
There are two operation modes for the automatic control panel: controller operation and key switch operation. The key switch operation is often adopted when the controller malfunctions.
Controller
4.1 Control Modes
The controller has three control modes: auto, manual, and test. It has six buttons, which are AUTO, MAN, TEST, START, STOP/RESET, and Light TEST/MUTE.
a. Auto Mode
Press on the AUTO button for more than 2 second. Then, the button LED indicator lights up, indicating that the controller is running in the automatic operating mode.
When there is a fire alarm, the START button indicator lights up and a start signal is issued. Then, the diesel engine will start automatically. If the engine does not start within 10 seconds, it will restart after a stop of 10 seconds. If the abovementioned process happens for three consecutive times and the engine is still unable to start, "START FAILURE" will be shown on the liquid crystal display.
When the diesel engine runs at a speed higher than the speed when it starts successfully, the starter motor will quit and "RUN" is shown on the display. Once the diesel engine starts successfully in the auto mode, it can be stopped only by manual operation.
b. Manual Mode
Press on the MAN button for over 2 seconds. The LED indicator on the button lights up, meaning that the controller runs in the manual mode.
Press on the START button for over 2 seconds to issue a start signal. Then, the diesel engine starts.
Press on the STOP button for more than 2 second to send a stop signal. Then, the engine will stop.
4.2 Warning and Protection
a. Warning
Warning is used to remind the operator of the situations that do not meet requirements and to solve the problems timely, so as to ensure continuous operation of the system. when warning occurs, the status indicator lights up and the buzzer sound, but the fault is not locked and the system does not stop. Once the fault is removed, the warning indicator automatically turns off.
Warning will appear in the following situations: charging failure, low battery voltage, low oil pressure, high temperature of engine cooling water, overspeed, underspeed
b. Shutdown Protection
When the diesel engine runs over speed, the controller will send an alarm and stop the engine for protection.

6. Operation Requirement
Before you start the diesel engine water pump for the first time, check the installation situation of all devices. Then, start the equipment according to the following steps.
a. Pour oil into the diesel engine and water pump suspension from the oil filling port. Check the oil level with the dipstick and make sure the oil level meets relevant requirement.
b. Adding cooling water into the diesel engine through the expansion tank. The water level reaching 2/3 of the expansion tank height is appropriate.
c. Fill the fuel tank with diesel oil and press the exhaust hand pump to let the diesel oil enter the engine through the filter.
d. Connect the pipelines and valves of the pump. Close the valve of the water outlet line. Close the outlet pressure gauge and vacuum pressure gauge.
e. Feed water into the pump and inlet pipe. Empty the internal air.
f. Open the outer circulating cooling water valve
g. Start the diesel engine water pump when all inlet valves are open and outlet valves are closed. When the diesel engine reaches the normal operating speed, open the valves on the water outlet pipe and adjust them to the desirable status.
