OCTG Couplings for Casing & Tubing

The OCTG coupling is a short length of pipe used to connect two joints of casings or production tubings. Unlike ordinary couplings, it effectively solves the problem of fatigue fracture that is easily caused by the stress concentration. The coupling is normally made of the same grade of steel as the casing or tubing.

Many customers may require a layer of color coating to be placed onto their product so that they can easily recognize their products after off-loaded at the discharging port. Each steel grade comes with a different color for easy identification.

All the OCTG couplings are manufactured according to API 5CT and 5B specifications. The coupling specified as API comes female threaded cylinder used for connecting two pipes with male threaded ends. The API 5CT grade coupling is an integral part to the production tubing and pipe casing. According to the types of threads cut onto the casing, users should select the correct coupling to accommodate the thread. Currently available with the product are types: one with common thread and the other with knuckle thread.
